Twelve Terrific Months

One poem our class created was based on a calendar. There are so many wonderful months to represent that selecting the right description was a challenge.

Twelve Terrific Months
By Mrs. Courville's Publishing 5 class

September, it's the NFL;
The Giants really smell. (CL)

In October on Halloween,
I get together and start to scheme; (AF)

In November there's turkey and more turkey,
Too bad there's no beef jerky. (ST)

In December wearing a jacket is required I am told,
Because it is cold. (AG)

In January it is the new year,
Time to hunt deer; (KT)

February, I watched the Superbowl;
The Giants had control. (CL)

March is St. Patrick's day;
We all say, "Hooray!" (MV)

In April there's Easter; try to find the eggs,
And go eat all of your chocolate bunny heads! (VF)

May is cool,
And there's no more school! (ST)

I've waited so long, and it's so near;
Tomorrow in June I'll shout, "Summer's here!" (VF)

July is a month that's really hot;
I play with my dad, making a knot. (CB)

In August the opening ceremony for the Olympics,
I need tickets. (AG)
